With Uprising, renowned choreographer Angelin Preljocaj presents a powerful new contemporary dance work performed by twelve dancers.
This creation explores the invisible force that drives people to come together, unite and stand up against injustice. From historical revolutions to present-day collective movements, the performance reflects on the shared energy that inspires dreams of freedom, equality and human connection.
On stage, bodies collide, support one another and evolve in constant motion. Inspired by the dynamics of crowds and collective action, the choreography creates compelling visual images where individual vulnerability meets collective strength.
Enhanced by the captivating music of Irène Drésel and the atmospheric lighting design of Éric Soyer, Uprising delivers an immersive artistic experience filled with emotion, power and beauty.
