Just as everything is ready for a historic concert, the rain throws a spanner in the works.
Through the eyes of a die-hard fan and the figures who built the legend, this show delves into the fascinating world of idols and their devotees. Alone on stage, an actor embodies this paradoxical solitude to explore the nature of a star: all-powerful, yet deeply vulnerable.
The narrative unfolds across two timelines:
Reality: the feverish anticipation followed by the shock of the cancellation of Johnny Hallyday’s concert on 4 September 1998.
Fantasy: a poetic and critical exploration of the idol’s condition.
