Presentation
Following the success of Snow White and Romeo and Juliet, the celebrated French choreographer returns to narrative ballet with a contemporary vision of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece. The legendary story of the Swan Princess is reimagined through the lens of today's world, touching on themes such as power, love, beauty, mortality and environmental concerns.
Combining classical inspiration with contemporary dance, the production features breathtaking choreography, immersive visual design by Boris Labbé, atmospheric lighting by Éric Soyer and elegant costumes by Igor Chapurin.
Praised by audiences and critics alike, this exceptional production returns to the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles. Accessible to all generations, it offers a moving and visually spectacular journey where timeless storytelling meets contemporary artistic expression.
Created in 2020 at La Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand, this production has become one of Angelin Preljocaj’s most celebrated works.
WARNING: This show contains strobe lighting effects.
