Come and see the performance of “La Prière aux Étoiles”, based on the book by Marcel Pagnol, at the Théâtre Montansier.
One day, fate brings together Florence and Pierre, two souls in search of the absolute. She, an actress in the shadows and trapped in a love with no future, confides her desire to find true love to the stars every night. He, a successful composer weary of Parisian false glory, dreams only of escaping the social scene. It is love at first sight. Together, they leave everything behind to settle in a small hotel in the harbour of Cassis, where they spend three months in a passionate romance under the watchful, benevolent gaze of the regulars.
But the respite is short-lived. Florence’s past, which she had kept carefully hidden, eventually catches up with them. Will their love be strong enough to withstand the secrets that are revealed?
