An event not to be missed: Claudio Monteverdi’s masterpiece, *The Coronation of Poppea*, performed by the ensemble I Gemelli.
Come and discover the music of Claudio Monteverdi through his masterpiece, which tells the story of Poppea, Emperor Nero’s mistress, who, through a series of schemes, becomes his wife.
Directed and conducted by Mathilde Étienne, with Emiliano González Toro as accompanist, the set design is by Antoine Fontaine and the costumes by Jean-Daniel Vuillermoz.

An opera in a prologue and three acts, with a libretto by Giovanni Francesco Busenello based on the Annals of Tacitus, premiered in Venice in 1642–1643.
Concert in Italian with French and English surtitles.
