Come and enjoy one of Handel’s finest operas, in this new production by the Royal Opera.

An opera in three acts with a libretto by Nicola Francesco Haym, based on Giacomo Francesco Bussani, premiered in London in 1724.

Handel’s *Julius Caesar in Egypt* stands out by making political stakes the very driving force behind a great love story, carried by arias of immense beauty. Led by the soprano Sonya Yoncheva in the role of Cleopatra, this production brings together exceptional performers to deliver a performance brimming with virtuosity and dramatic intensity.
