Presentation
The agriculture of tomorrow: what does the future hold for our plates? As part of the Rendez-vous aux jardins and the National Agriculture Days, discover the Potager du Roi, a gem of a garden in the heart of Versailles!
For each edition, a national theme sheds a particular light on an original or innovative aspect of heritage, encouraging new openings and events (guided tours, demonstrations of know-how, concerts, themed tours, etc.).
The Potager du Roi welcomes you to the 2026 National Agriculture Days, which will focus on the theme “The agriculture of tomorrow: what does the future hold for our plates?”. The weekend will also be dedicated to the 22nd edition of Rendez-vous aux jardins.
Ten agricultural researchers from the Versailles Grand Parc region who have contributed to the development of agriculture and the quality of produce are being showcased at the Potager du Roi through an exhibition organised by INRA (the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, Food and the Environment) – the Jean-Pierre Bourgin Institute – and the École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage.
Visitors will be able to discover the innovations of Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie, Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau, Antoine-Nicolas Duchesne, François-Haken Philippar, Madeleine Hueau, Yvonne and André Cauderon, Yves Coïc and Christiane Lesaint, and Jean-Pierre Bourgin, and take part in a workshop led by INRAE (the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, Food and the Environment) – the Jean-Pierre Bourgin Institute.
