Presentation

What if Oberkampf’s descendants were still among us? Settled in Jouy-en-Josas and now at home in the museum, the "O"s form a fictional family that spans the centuries without ever losing its flair for invention.

In their own way, they perpetuate the creative spirit of their illustrious ancestor by embracing the techniques, materials, and imaginative worlds of our time. Five visual artists—I. Courtois Lacoste, N. Houdebine, D. de Chamborant, C. Schvartz, and M. Martineau—bring this extraordinary tribe to life through works that blend drawing, sculpture, animation, and the reinterpretation of history.

Straddling the line between fiction and memory, the past and contemporary creation, their universe weaves a unique narrative that is both playful and poetic. Step into the intimate world of the O!s.
