Discover Berthe Morisot's vacation home in Bougival! Immerse yourself in the fresh, light-filled work of this incomparable artist: gardens in bloom, childhood and femininity are at the heart of the 1st female Impressionist's paintings!
In the 1880s, Berthe and her husband Eugène Manet came to stay in this house on several occasions with their granddaughter Julie, who claims to have kept the happiest memories of her life. Owned by the town of Bougival, the house has recently been transformed into a place in memory of the artist: in the rooms where she lived, countless reproductions of works tell the story of Berthe Morisot's life, speak of her family and artistic entourage, and present her career and achievements.
