Presentation

As part of the Mois Molière 2026 festival, traditional Indian dance blends with improvisation to create a visual, auditory and participatory work.

Inspired by Manipuri dance, the performance explores the concept of the ‘Klingeltanz’. Developed by Angela Sofia Sterzer, it reimagines dance as a musical form in its own right. Here, the choreography is not merely meant to be seen; it is designed from the outset to be heard.

Using bicycle bells transformed into instruments, the dancers produce organic music through their movements. Every movement, every sound becomes a note in a shifting score.

The body becomes an instrument, and the stage a soundbox. Gradually, the audience is invited to join in the movement – with no need for physical preparation or prior training – in a collective improvisation open to all.
