Start with the King’s private apartments, where the intimacy of royal power and political decisions intertwined with the refinement of French decorative arts of the 18th century. Continue with the exhibition “Excellences!” at the Choiseul Library in Versailles, which reveals the behind-the-scenes of French diplomacy and its influence across Europe.
