Presentation

Come and enjoy a concert by the Chœur de la Pléiade at Saint-Symphorien Church, where they will perform "La Petite Messe solennelle", composed in 1863 by Gioachino Rossini.
Composed for a small ensemble — a four-part choir, soloists, piano and accordion — this mass elegantly oscillates between fervour, virtuosity and moments of grace. From the energy of the Kyrie and Gloria to the introspective gentleness of the Credo and Agnus Dei, Rossini has created a sacred work of striking modernity. For this occasion, the 70 singers of the Chœurs de la Pléiade, conducted by Stéphane Ung, join the soloists and the piano-accordion duo. A vibrant concert, suspended in time.
