In 1713, Louis XIV created the Dance School of the Royal Academy of Music. Three centuries later, the Paris Opera Ballet created its Junior Ballet, which made its first stop at the Royal Opera House in Versailles.
In 1713, Louis XIV created the Ecole de Danse de l'Académie Royale de Musique: choreography was so important to the performances of both the Court and the City that an institution was finally needed to train and transmit it. Three centuries later, the Paris Opera Ballet created its Junior Ballet, which made its first stop at the Opéra Royal de Versailles. Composed of 18 dancers recruited through an international competition to give them all the tools they need to develop their talent, the Junior Ballet was born in 2024!
