Discover the official Olympic marathon route below.
The route follows that of a major event in the history of France!
The Olympic athletes will take the same path as thousands of women who, on 5 October 1789, went to Versailles during a protest against the flour shortage.
A remarkable event in the history of France which concluded with the signing of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen.
42 kilometres which will once again challenge the athletes with a positive altitude difference of 436m and a negative of 438m, with a maximum incline of 13.5%!
