Napoleonic soldiers, medieval knights, superheroes, fantastical dragons… The City of Versailles presents its new exhibition from December 17, 2025, to June 28, 2026, at the Ancienne Poste: “The World of Figurines.” This unique exhibition, featuring 25,000 figurines, celebrates the imagination, history, and creativity of this ancient art form.
Figurines can be found in every civilization in the world. They have transcended eras and cultures, adapting to artistic and technological innovations. Initially spiritual or religious objects, they have become toys and collectors. Today, figurines fascinate art lovers, the general public, and collectors alike.
