On 5 September, the Victor Hugo Literary House will bring together two very different worlds: Victor Hugo and rap.

The rapper Bart brings Victor Hugo back to life through a blend of humour and rap. He enables the audience to discover and rediscover Victor Hugo through his most memorable works.

Recently, Bart had a revelation: if Victor Hugo were alive today, he would have been the greatest rapper of all time. The world needed to know this. His idea? To create a rap track telling the story of the ‘Man of the Century’.

Blending stand-up comedy, rap and a cast of characters, Bart explores Victor Hugo’s life journey to craft, verse by verse and chorus by chorus, the ultimate biographical rap track.
