Alsatian cuisine is rich and varied, reflecting the land and history of the region.
It is influenced by Germanic gastronomy, but also by French traditions. Sauerkraut may be its best-known dish, but there are many others, all very tasty.
There's no sauerkraut on the menu, no baeckeoffe, but we will find cabbage in another form, as well as one of the region's emblematic wines, Riesling.
