La Grande Scène du Chesnay welcomes you to its production of Beaumarchais’s *The Marriage of Figaro*.
This play, written in 1778, was long censored because of its criticism of class inequalities.
It tells the story of Figaro, Count Almaviva’s valet. Figaro is preparing to marry Suzanne, the Countess’s chambermaid.
However, Count Almaviva also wants to marry Suzanne. Intrigue, disguises and deception abound as the couple seek to thwart the Count’s plans.
