In the 1880s, Berthe ad her husband Eugène Manet stayed several times in this house with their young daughter Julie, creating some of the happiest memories of their lives. Now owned by the town of Bougival, the house has been transformed into a place dedicated to the memory of the artist. In the very rooms where she once lived, countless reproductions of her works tell the story of Berthe Morisot's life, her family and artistic circle, and her career and acheivements.
