Jack said: Dig! Jack O'Lanterns are back at our Open Farms in Saint-Cyr-l'École, Sartrouville and Saint-Denis.
At the farm, to celebrate autumn with the family, children can take part in pumpkin festival workshops. They carve and scrape their pumpkins with the help of the organisers, then leave with their lanterns to place on their windowsills.
Ready to get spooked? 45 minutes - Up to 22 children - For ages 3–12
Schedule for the day:
Pumpkin workshop: Pumpkin carving workshop (pumpkins provided) lasting 30 to 45 minutes (held indoors in case of bad weather).
Children choose the pumpkin they want, and a facilitator places the family on a table to begin cutting off the top of the pumpkin. The facilitator leaves you to work independently, instructing you to hollow out the pumpkin. Once the inside of the pumpkin is clean, a farm facilitator will come and carve the pumpkin (the eyes, nose and mouth of the pumpkin, etc.).
You can bring your own spoons for scooping and a felt-tip pen for drawing the pumpkin of your dreams.
Suitable for children aged 3 and above, with adult assistance.
Tour of the farm with a chance to meet the animals (before or after your pumpkin workshop)
Sheep, Alpine dwarf goats known for their gentleness, an 850-kilo Andalusian mare, and Vanille & Chocolat, our ponies who accompany Andalouse in the meadows during the summer. You can also see rabbits, donkeys and pigs at the educational farm.
During your visit, you can also explore the educational trails in the woods.
Visit to the mazes (closed in case of rain)
Food corner
Crepes, coffee, hot chocolate, hot apple juice with cinnamon, available for purchase on site to reward your efforts.
An adult must be present for the workshop and farm visits. Children are the responsibility of their accompanying adults.
Once the booking has been made, the activity schedule is final and cannot be changed.
