Gilles invites you to discover the steps involved in bringing out the light in your images on fine art paper and to explore the creative possibilities offered by 19th-century printing techniques.

On the programme:

Introduction: alternative photography, alternative processes, properties of silver nitrate
Demonstration: the steps involved in silver-based processes, their roles, and their effects on exposure, contrast and tone
Each participant will create a photogram: composition and printing
Presentation of creative opportunities, including mixed media.

Open to all, not just photographers; no prior experience required.
