Getting to the Olympic events from Paris!

By public transport:

From Paris, you can easily reach the three Versailles stations by public transport.

 

Getting to Versailles Rive Gauche station

RER line C will take you directly to the terminus of the Versailles Château Rive Gauche line.

 

Getting to Versailles Rive Droite station

From Paris Saint Lazare, line L, passing through La Défense towards Versailles Rive-Droite (15 minutes’ walk from the Palace).

 

Getting to Versailles Chantiers station

Two lines let you reach Versailles Chantiers station (20 minutes’ walk from the Palace)

 

  • From Paris Montparnasse, line N (towards Rambouillet, Dreux, Mantes-la-Jolie)
  • From La Défense, line U (towards Verrière or St Quentin en Yvelines)

RATP bus

Line 171 from Pont de Sèvres in Boulogne-Billancourt will take you to the Château de Versailles/Palace of Versailles terminus.

 

Please note: metro tickets are not valid for these journeys!

You must have Ile-de-France transport tickets to Versailles Rive Gauche Château, Versailles Rive Droite or Versailles Chantiers.

Useful tip – go for return transport tickets: this way, you’ll avoid queuing to buy your return transport ticket!
