Presentation
Creation and organization of treasure hunts and historical investigations in the city of Versailles and the Park of the Palace of Versailles
Treasure hunt on request for less than 10 people in the Saint-Louis Quarter and in the park of the Château de Versailles.
1679: We are in the middle of the poisons affair, one of the greatest criminal cases in French history. Louis XIV is stunned to learn that a large part of the Versailles court is involved. He will be the victim of an assassination attempt.
Gabriel Nicolas de la Reynie, the first lieutenant general of police, who invented public lighting and coined the term "commissaire de police", was put in charge of the investigation.
Despite his tenacity, the person who commissioned the crime has never been found!
8 suspects among the greatest names in the kingdom: Françoise-Athénaïs de Mortemart de Rochechouart de Montespan, Philippe d'Orléans, Madame de Sévigné, the Iron Mask, the Prince of Condé, Olympe Mancini, Antonin de Lauzun, the great Mademoiselle.
3 centuries later, it is up to you to finally restore the truth!
Course of your investigation :
Duration: 2 hours
Location: in the historic town or in the park of the Château de Versailles
Welcome by your trainer-investigator, distribution of instructions in sealed envelopes, presentation of the plot, final warnings.
Your team will explore the groves of the château or the Saint-Louis district independently, with daring and talent, to discover the clues that will unmask the culprit.
End of the investigation: Final test, explanation of the suspects' motives and additional history on Versailles and the poisons affair.
Meeting point: under the statue of Louis XIV, Place d'Armes, in front of the Château de Versailles.
The route through the park was inspired by "Manière de montrer les jardins de Versailles", a tourist guide written by Louis XIV.
